Are you curious about how to deepen your yoga practice? Join us for an engaging workshop, "Body Blueprint: Navigating Tension vs. Compression, designed for all students interested in exploring the fascinating dynamics of tension and compression in yoga!

Have you ever found yourself in a pose, wondering why you can’t go any further or why you don’t feel the stretch where you think you should? Sometimes, the answer lies within our unique skeletal structure! Our bones play a crucial role in how we move, and understanding this can empower you to adapt yoga poses specifically to your body.

In the first 75 minutes of this workshop, you will learn to identify tension and compression in your body while studying the amazing variability of the human skeleton. You’ll discover why yoga shapes look different for everyone through practical exercises that highlight the individuality of our bodies, making this workshop valuable for students at all levels.

The second half will focus on a soothing Yin Yoga practice, where we’ll spend 75 minutes holding poses for 3-5 minutes each, using props for support. This gentle approach will allow you to find the intended sensation in your body, helping you to modify poses with confidence. No prior Yin Yoga experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm for exploration!

We’ll also be using a projector to show slides of the bones, enhancing your understanding of how our anatomy influences our practice.
