Join us for an interactive and fun five-week series at Nanaquaket Yoga Studio as we dive into the profound wisdom of Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet." This celebrated work of prose poetry is written in an interview style, where the main character offers his insight and knowledge on 26 components of the human experience, touching on themes such as love, joy, sorrow, and self-knowledge.
As we gather each Thursday evening at 6:45pm, we will discuss the insights and reflections that arise from Gibran's timeless words. The story follows Al Mustafa, who, after living in the city of Orphalese for 12 years, is interrupted by a group of seekers eager to learn from his wisdom before he departs. Each chapter provides a rich exploration of various aspects of life, including marriage, friendship, freedom, and the nature of good and evil.
To enhance our discussions, we encourage all participants to purchase a copy of "The Prophet" prior to the first meeting. We recommend reading a few passages in advance to help you connect with the themes that resonate most with you. During our sessions, you may choose a specific topic that speaks to you and, if you feel inspired, volunteer to lead the discussion for that week.
This series promises to be a space for shared insights, personal growth, and meaningful connections. Let’s come together to explore the beauty and depth of Gibran's work as we reflect on our own lives and experiences.
We look forward to seeing you there!
