Overview:
A four-week series led by Elizabeth Lee. This slow flow class will integrate yoga philosophy and provide a deep dive into the Koshas, offering a holistic approach to well-being.
What Are the Koshas?
The Koshas are layers of the self in yoga philosophy, often described as five sheaths that encompass our being:
1. Annamaya Kosha (Physical Body): The tangible, physical aspect of ourselves.
2. Pranamaya Kosha (Energy Body): The life force or energy that sustains us.
3. Manomaya Kosha (Mental Body): The layer of thoughts and emotions.
4. Vijnanamaya Kosha (Wisdom Body): The intellect and discernment.
5. Anandamaya Kosha (Bliss Body): The deepest layer representing pure joy and connection.
The Koshas help us understand the different dimensions of our being, promoting a more balanced and fulfilling life.
